Dave Layzell MP, Member for Upper Hunter advises that concept designs offer the Muswellbrook South Public School community the first look at the upgrade, with another important milestone reached with the construction contract awarded to FK Gardner & Sons.
The project will deliver 13 new learning spaces as well as upgrades to the administrative building, existing learning spaces, and provide 2 special programs rooms and staff areas.
Member for Upper Hunter Dave Layzell said the upgrade is an exciting addition that will deliver modern facilities to local students.
“The upgrade of Muswellbrook South Public School is part of the government’s commitment to supporting families in this area that will have a positive impact for generations to come,” Mr Layzell said.
“I am excited to see construction get underway, and the opportunity to see what the project will look like once completed,” Mr. Layzell said.
Minister for Education Sarah Mitchell welcomed the latest update on the project and said she was thrilled to see the project progressing.
“I’m looking forward to the construction phase of this upgrade and to the benefits it will bring students in the area.
“I’m proud that the NSW Government is delivering this important upgrade for Muswellbrook South Public School. It will benefit the school and the local community for years to come,” Ms Mitchell said.
The NSW Government is investing $7.9 billion over the next four years, continuing its program to deliver 215 new and upgraded schools to support communities across NSW. This is the largest investment in public education infrastructure in the history of NSW.
